The nation’s education chief made a stop in Memphis on his nationwide “back to school” bus tour. Students and school leaders from across Shelby County packed Craigmont High School to hear what he had to say.
Secretary King introduced a new federal website called the “College Scorecard” where students can compare the cost and value of colleges. Students can get help paying for school by applying for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAF-SUH. This year the application process starts October 1st, 3 months earlier.
The focus was providing all students a chance to go to college.
