Kroger is helping Shelby County Schools teachers gear up this school year.
The company’s Delta Division donated 1,000 school supplies kits to the Teacher
Toolbox on Monday. The gift baskets included a composition book, paper, pencils,
glue sticks, a ruler and much more. Agape North also donated more than 200
uniforms tops.
The Teacher Toolbox offers free classroom supplies for SCS teachers. The store is
stocked thanks to donations from the community and area businesses. While it
officially opens Tuesday, August 30, teachers from 28 middle and high schools were able to shop early Monday
afternoon.

“Having the opportunity to take advantage of the Teacher Toolbox is a blessing,” said
East High School teacher Meah King. “With these donations, it would offset a lot of
costs that comes out of my personal pocket.”
The Teacher Toolbox is located at the SCS Central Office.
