A first time for Memphis, college semi-finals set

For the first time in history, the Memphis Tigers will play in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl game December 30th. The Tigers will take on the Big 12’s Iowa State. Memphis accepted the Liberty Bowl invitation after losing a “heart-breaker” against UCF in the American Athletic Conference Championship in Orlando on Saturday. The game is being televised on ABC.

The college football playoff semi-finals are set for New Years Day. Oklahoma will take on Georgia in the Rose Bowl. Clemson and Alabama clash in the Sugar Bowl.
